★"Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata" created by Yuzuru Hanyu with his thoughts on the Great East Japan Earthquake. This performance is the second time it has been held, following the previous year. Please enjoy the beautiful and moving ice show, as well as messages from Yuzuru Hanyu, through this work.
The main disc features top skaters from Japan and abroad, including Yuzuru Hanyu as the host, Javier Fernandez, Jason Brown, Sheryline Bone Turock, and Tomoko Miyahara, showcasing first-class entertainment. Additionally, actress Mao Daichi is invited as a special guest, expressing a new worldview through the beautiful movements of Daichi on stage and Hanyu on ice.
The bonus disc includes a one-camera video allowing you to enjoy Yuzuru Hanyu's performances from two angles, highlights of the performances on March 8 and 9, and rehearsals before the main performances on March 9 and 10.
The title of the performance, "nottestellata," means "a sky full of stars" in Italian. It was named based on Yuzuru Hanyu's personal experience during the earthquake in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, on March 11, 2011. On the way to an evacuation shelter, he looked up at the sky and saw a "sky full of stars" spreading in the darkness caused by a power outage—something he usually couldn't see. Amidst despair, he felt a "light of hope." This ice show was delivered with the hope of "shining hope like the stars that illuminated the disaster area" and becoming a catalyst for even a small smile among people.
