Since 2014, violinist Yukihiro Nishimoto has been continuing the "VIOLINable Discovery" series, which combines the performance of all Beethoven sonatas with a music program for the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. This 8th installment of the series also features a diverse program.
Mana Oguchi (piano), who is performing with Nishimoto for the first time in this series, joins him. Oguchi, who is currently active based in Europe and also teaches in Berlin, is a hometown friend of Nishimoto, having attended the same junior high school, and they are also alumni of Tokyo University of the Arts.
Since then, the two, who have built their careers separately in Japan and Germany, have finally fulfilled their long-held desire to perform together on this tour. Please enjoy the warm unity unique to these two artists and their sparkling, spirited exchanges... a happy encounter.
