He worked for 25 years as a designer for fashion magazines and art companies in Tokyo, Paris, London, and Milan before becoming independent.He began painting stray cats in his hometown of Nara.Recipient of the Nara Prefectural Art Association Encouragement Award.His Japanese fairy tale illustrations were featured in a TV broadcast commemorating UNICEF's International Children's Day.He opened a small art museum in Nara-machi.In 2007, he received a Special Award from the Bungeisha Visual Publishing Culture Award.His works have been published as New Year’s cards by popular authors through Maru-sha Publishing and Shoyosha Publishing.He has donated illustrations for the Gango-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for Jizo-e offerings during the Jizo-e festival.He has appeared on media such as Nara TV, NHK's "Good Morning Kansai," and Kansai TV's "Yoi Don!"
