He worked for 25 years as a designer for fashion magazines and art companies in Tokyo, Paris, London, and Milan before becoming independent.He began depicting stray cats in his hometown of Nara.Recipient of the Nara Prefectural Art Association Encouragement Award.His illustrations for a UNICEF International Children's Day commemorative program were broadcast on TV, featuring Japanese fairy tales.He opened a small art museum in Nara-machi.In 2007, he received a Special Award from Bungeisha Visual Publishing Culture Award.His works have been featured on New Year’s cards published by Maru-sha and Shōeisha.He has donated illustrations for the Gango-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for Jizō-e lantern offerings.He has appeared on media such as Nara TV, NHK's "Good Morning Kansai," and Kansai TV's "Yōi Don!"
