沖縄県恩納村にある煌工房で作られた琉球ガラスです。当工房は数多くの受賞経歴を持つ沖縄県指定の伝統工芸士・池宮城善郎さんの工房です。名前の通り海の中をイメージさせてくれる大きな泡が特徴的です。細かい泡はよく見かけますが、この絶妙な泡の大きさは池宮城さんならではの技法によるもの。泡が大きすぎるとガラスが薄くなり割れてしまい、逆に小さ過ぎると表現力が落ちるのでこの絶妙の大きさが見る人を惹きつけます。池宮城ならではの技が生み出す逸品です。
