For beginners, place a slightly larger amount of well-dried tinder on the stone, about 2-3 mm away from the edge where you will strike. Lightly press it with your thumb to keep it in place.Once the tinder ignites from the sparks produced by the fire-striking scythe, gently blow on it to strengthen the flame.
This can then be used to light candles, stoves, firewood, or campfires.
