About the Artist
Debuted in 1972 as the leader of the rock and roll band "Carol." In 1977, he became the first Japanese rock artist to perform at the Budokan, followed by a performance at Korakuen Stadium in 1978. He created a massive "Yazawa boom" with his book "Nariagari." In 2007, he performed a record-breaking solo concert at the Budokan. In 2008, he took a hiatus from concert activities for the first time in his 37-year career. This year, turning 60, he successfully held a concert at the Tokyo Dome on September 19th.
