Founded in 1880. Known by the trade name "Kaneichi," we continue to carry on the spirit of our founder, Katsunosuke Yamamoto, manufacturing and selling Kishu specialty forest products such as Shuro brooms and sansho (Japanese pepper) medicinal materials.
This 4-tama tebōki (hand broom) is slightly smaller than our standard 5-tama tebōki. It is ideal for cleaning corners of rooms or small messes like cat litter. It's an eco-friendly, traditional craft that doesn't use electricity, making it easy to sweep dust from tight spaces.

Before First Use
Because natural shuro bark is used, some dust will fall from the broom when you first start using it. If you can remove as much of this initial dust as possible, it will become easier to use.
Please be aware that using it on tatami mats or carpets initially may cause dust to fall, potentially making cleaning counterproductive.
Storage Method
Shuro brooms are said to last 10 to 20 years with proper care. However, if you lean them against the floor, the bristles can become misshapen. After use, please store them by hanging them on a wall or hook.
