We have often received questions in product reviews such as "Why doesn't pesticide-free tea have the Organic JAS mark?", so we will briefly explain. First, organic does not equal pesticide-free. Organic tea is a qualification granted to foods that meet Organic JAS standards, and Organic JAS does not have regulations against pesticides. In fact, many pesticides certified for organic use are widely available. While many farmers cultivate tea according to strict organic standards, in order to achieve completely pesticide-free cultivation, nearly 100% of farmers would experience reduced yields, making it a reality that they have no choice but to use organically certified pesticides. Furthermore, many of our customers are sensitive to chemicals with their sense of smell and taste, and some cannot even drink organic tea, so we do not use any pesticides, including organically certified ones, and practice natural cultivation, believing in the inherent resilience and life force of plants. We deal with damage from pests and diseases using natural methods as much as possible (e.g., spraying diluted seawater), but insect damage directly leads to reduced yields, making production unstable and the quality inconsistent year to year, which may inconvenience our customers. However, there are also benefits! ... Tea leaves that have experienced moderate insect damage can develop a better flavor through fermentation. (Example: Oriental Beauty oolong tea from China) Our "Completely Pesticide-Free Natural Cultivation" is based on both green tea and fermented tea. Also, for your peace of mind, the residual pesticide tests conducted annually have again this year shown "no residual pesticides detected" for all 200 items, so you can enjoy it with confidence. This is powdered green tea cultivated and manufactured using second flush tea as the main ingredient, through natural cultivation, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
