The pendants and earrings are made from a unique material created by layering tsuki-ita, which is sliced as thin as 0.2 mm, to reach a final thickness of 2.0 mm.It is finished to just the right thickness—neither too thick nor too thin—and the thin wood is laminated together to enhance strength.The elegance of these accessories comes from cutting this original wood material into small pieces and laser processing them to create beautiful patterns.The thickness, shape balance, and pattern details are achieved through fine-tuning and trial-and-error.This craftsmanship, which cannot be achieved with a single piece of natural wood prone to cracking, is made possible by carefully layered tsuki-ita material.Unlike solid wood or other materials, tsuki-ita is characterized by its lightness.It is light enough to be worn airily around the ears or neck, regardless of how you coordinate it with your outfit.

“Tsuki-ita" is a sheet of wood sliced nearly as thin as paper, mainly used for decorative plywood.We began by wondering if we could create something new from the leftovers of such thin veneer materials.We are trying to innovate by considering what can be done with thin tsuki-ita.

Tsuki-ita is a material used to beautifully finish furniture and interior surfaces.When making a surface material with tsuki-ita, larger pieces are used than the finished size, resulting in surplus material from outside the frame.
We wondered if we could find a use for these tsuki-ita leftovers that would otherwise be discarded, leading to the idea of POKE’s Accessories.It is common practice to dispose of tsuki-ita parts that exceed the size of the surface material.
However, the excess tsuki-ita is simply the part that was cut off due to size constraints."It’s waste to throw away this excess tsuki-ita...""Is there a way to use the extra parts of tsuki-ita without discarding them?"
We aimed to minimize unused material and promote resourcefulness in a sustainable way.In other words, our goal is the effective and sustainable use of resources.
