■ Hidetoshi Nishijima & Seiyo Uchino star as a male couple in a passionate performance!
Highly recommended even for fans of the original work!
Attention is also drawn to the cast!
This work centers on the humorous and heartfelt daily life of Shiro Sakaki, a meticulous and frugal lawyer (commonly called Shiro-san), and his easygoing boyfriend, Kenji Yabuki, a beautician.
Shiro-san is played by Hidetoshi Nishijima, and his boyfriend Kenji by Seiyo Uchino.
Contrasting with their tense expressions in detective or medical dramas, they portray a warm and affectionate male couple with playful charm.

The role of Inoue Wataru, Kenji’s boyfriend, whom Kohinata describes as "like a handsome boy Gilbert," is played by the rising young actor Yuto Isomura.
The popular couple from the original manga, Kohinata & Wataru, engage in amusing yet touching exchanges with Shiro-san & Kenji.
Other cast members include talented actors such as Misako Tanaka, Sports Makita, and Kawai Chanka, ranging from comedy to serious roles, enriching the everyday scenes of Shiro-san and Kenji!
■ The highly anticipated drama adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga’s beloved original work, which depicts the daily life of a male couple!
The original manga "Kinou Nani Tabeta" (What Did You Eat Yesterday?) is by manga artist Fumi Yoshinaga, known for works like "Ooku" and "Western Antique Bakery."
Since its serialization in Weekly Morning starting in 2007, it has become a huge hit with over 5 million copies sold (including digital editions).
Through the warm yet bittersweet daily life of Shiro-san and Kenji, the story explores their relationships with family, friends, work, and society.
Their inexpensive, delicious homemade meals continue to captivate readers.
After ten years of serialization and overwhelming popularity among a wide audience, the work has finally been adapted into a drama!
■ Achieved No. 1 in Twitter global trends!
A major hit of the April season, creating a buzz everywhere!
Even before broadcast, the drama drew significant attention on social media.
The news of the adaptation spread rapidly, and it ranked second in "Filmarks"’ spring 2019 drama expectation ranking for terrestrial broadcasts.
Faithfully and carefully adapted from the original, the drama quickly gained momentum once aired.
During the first episode, "Kinou Nani Tabeta" trended as the top worldwide Twitter trend.
On "Netto mo Tere Tō," the first episode's viewership exceeded 1.55 million, making it the fastest-growing record in the network’s history.
Furthermore, recipes featured in the drama and the original manga’s recipes have led to pre-orders for a dedicated recipe book, which sold over 100,000 copies in just two weeks after release.
The momentum continues with the planned "Kinou Nani Tabeta" exhibition!
Reproductions of the drama’s set, props used in the show, and iconic scene photos will be displayed, promising a lively exhibition.
This highly anticipated work of the season is causing a "Nanishoku" whirlwind everywhere!
【Synopsis】
Shiro Sakaki (Hidetoshi Nishijima) works as a lawyer at a small law office in town.
His daily routine includes leaving the office on time and heading to a nearby discount supermarket.
He quickly examines affordable ingredients and instantly plans dinner menus in his mind.
A key goal for Shiro is to keep his monthly food expenses within 25,000 yen.
Upon returning home, Shiro immediately starts preparing dinner, quickly making three side dishes, seasoned rice, and miso soup.
Just as dinner is ready, his cohabiting beautician boyfriend, Kenji Yabuki (Seiyo Uchino), comes home.
They call each other "Shiro-san" and "Kenji," and their dinner time is a precious moment to share daily events and feelings.
One day, while walking together, they meet Chitose, a regular customer at Kenji’s beauty salon.
Chitose immediately recognizes Shiro and says, "This is the guy, the lawyer boyfriend who plays the girl..."
Hearing this, Shiro’s face changes suddenly.
Unwilling to face prejudice from others, Shiro had not disclosed his identity at work, but Kenji had told even his clients.
This hints at a potential storm at tonight’s dinner.
This is the beginning of a story depicting the bittersweet yet warm daily life of Shiro-san and Kenji, centered around their everyday meals.
