Rainwater that falls on Sakurajima seeps into the ground over hundreds of years, containing natural silica.

Trolox is a natural water discovered as a result of joint research with Kyushu University Graduate School of Agriculture. It was found to contain 10 μM Trolox per liter (source water) via the ORAC method.

Approximately 22,000 years ago, a massive eruption formed the mythic Aira Volcano, which reappeared in just about a month. It was only 20 years ago that hot spring water was discovered flowing gently from the foot of Sakurajima and Takasumi Mountain, which inherited the legacy of the Aira Volcano.

‘Trolox’ is bottled directly from a 52°C hot spring springing naturally without contact with air, preserving its natural qualities.

Because it is an odorless, tasteless source spring water that does not contain hydrogen sulfide, commercialization was made possible.
