This filter media makes the colors of fish and aquatic plants vibrant and healthy. It also helps prevent algae from growing on aquatic plants and hard algae. Without coloring the aquarium water, it removes excessive total hardness components (calcium ions, magnesium ions) to approximately GH 1, softening the water. It adjusts pH to weakly acidic (around pH 6.8) and GH/KH to around 1. It strongly adsorbs ammonia and does not release it, making it ideal for the initial unstable filtration period when setting up an aquarium. The ion adsorption and removal effect lasts for approximately 2-3 months, and it can be used as a biological filter media for approximately 2 years. Regular replacement is recommended.
How to Use
Place this product in your filter or aquarium. When placing in a filter, spread the product evenly without gaps, ensuring it is completely submerged in water. Place filter floss or wool on top of this product to filter out large debris. Wash the wool approximately once a week, and wash this product at least once a month. (This prolongs the adsorption effect.) Please handle gently when using in water, as the seams of the net can become weak. *The basic usage is one bag of this product for 60L of aquarium water or less. *Depending on the source water or aquarium water, the pH may drop below 6. Please remove the product in a timely manner when your desired pH is reached.
