The smaller, head-swiveling Donko kokeshi doll has a portion of the "Iizaka Kouta" (Iizaka Folk Song), "Koi no Michinoku Hitome wo Shinobu" (Love in Michinoku, Secretly Watching), written on its body, which originates from Iizaka Onsen in Fukushima Prefecture. Both are dolls filled with a sense of travel.
"Kokeshi dolls" are traditional wooden dolls from the Tohoku region. Their prototypes were made over 150 years ago.With a gentle and soft impression within their simple expressions, these dolls will bring a warm atmosphere to your room even today.
