Design: This kokeshi features a design of a poem by Iwate Prefecture-born poet Takuboku Ishikawa on its body.The poem reads: "Furusato no yama ni muite iu koto nashi, furusato no yama wa arigataki kana," which is said to praise Mount Iwate, Takuboku's hometown in Iwate Prefecture.Kokeshi made from bark of wood creates a very natural atmosphere.
