1997年結成以来、「痛み」をテーマに数々の作品を産み出してきたDIR EN GREYが、2018年1月2日にBEST ALBUM『VESTIGE OF SCRATCHES』を発表することが決定致しました。本作品は、インディーズ1st MINI ALBUM『MISSA』(1997.7.25 RELEASE)から最新SINGLE『詩踏み』(2016.7.27 RELEASE)まで、これまでに発表された全作品を対象にファンリクエストを行い、それを基にメンバー自身が選りすぐった全44曲をリマスタリングし、CD3枚組にして収録。今作の為に全44曲のうち3曲を改めて再録し、いまのDIR EN GREYが新たに紡ぎ出す貴重な音源も収録予定。アルバム名を副題に掲げ約1年4ヵ月に及んで開催された“TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ "も2017年10月12日にファイナルを迎え、現時点での集大成となる作品です。
