About the Fabric:
The fabric is made from vibrant kimono and obi textiles used on festive days during the Showa era. Some materials and weaves are rare and have been discontinued. The patterns include auspicious floral motifs, birds, gold thread embroidery, and Nishijin weaving, collected from across Japan. The high-quality raw materials are made possible by reusing used (secondhand) textiles, making this product both luxurious and eco-conscious.

About the Sewing:
Manufactured in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, the largest bag production area in the country. The production is carried out by experienced bag artisans at companies that sell bag materials and own YKK zippers. Pattern placement, orientation, and the back and front of the obi cords are decided in Tokyo. Subsequently, molds are created at a dedicated factory, which then cuts and sews the fabric accordingly.

Kimono and obi fabrics vary in embroidery, weave, thickness, and texture, making sewing challenging even for skilled artisans. The traditional craft of Yagi basketry from Toyooka, passed down through a thousand years, influences the meticulous quality control and craftsmanship involved in production.

Precautions for Purchase:
Fabric: The kimono, obi, and obi cords used are previously worn or stored items. Therefore, there may be creases, small stains, dirt, damage, or deterioration. While efforts are made to exclude these, some may remain. Please understand that the product is an upcycled, recycled item from older textiles.

Color: We take great care to display accurate colors, but slight differences may occur due to monitor settings on your computer or mobile device. Please understand that the actual product may vary slightly in hue.

Size: Although cut uniformly with molds and sewn by skilled artisans, the thickness and embroidery of each kimono and obi vary. Thicker obi or heavily embroidered items may result in slight size differences or small discrepancies. We appreciate your understanding.

Handling: The kimono, obi, and obi cords are likely made of silk, but as they are used, their exact material cannot be guaranteed. (The Consumer Affairs Agency states that there is no obligation to specify this on the product.) Please wash with a silk-compatible detergent or consult a professional kimono cleaner.

Be cautious of color bleeding or transfer caused by water, sweat, friction, or rain.
Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause discoloration or hardening.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated dark place, away from other items.
Avoid snagging or friction from nails or protrusions.

After Purchase:
Except for defective products, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges. Returns or exchanges due to defects must be made within 7 days of receipt and the item must be unused.
