**About the Fabric:**It uses vibrant kimono and obi belts that were worn on celebratory days in the Showa era. Some of the materials and weaves are rare and have already ceased production.
The patterns include auspicious floral motifs, birds, gold thread embroidery, and Nishijin weaving, collected from all over Japan.
Because the raw materials are high-quality, this remade product is only possible through recycling vintage items.
**About the Sewing:**Manufactured in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, the largest bag production area in the country.
Produced by experienced bag artisans at companies that sell bag materials and have YKK zippers in-house.
Pattern placement, orientation, and the front/back of the obi belt are decided in Tokyo. Then, molds are created at a dedicated factory, which are used to cut the fabric and sew the bag.
Kimono and obi fabrics vary in embroidery, weaving, thickness, and texture, making sewing challenging even for skilled artisans.
In Toyooka, the traditional craft of woven willow baskets, originating from the "Kiji" (cormorant) craft mentioned in the Kojiki, has been passed down.
Under strict quality control cultivated over a thousand years of tradition, production is carried out with care.
