**About the Fabric**We use glamorous kimono and obi that were worn on celebratory occasions during the Showa era. Some items use precious materials and weaves that are no longer in production. The patterns consist of rare textiles collected from across the country, including auspicious floral patterns, birds, gold thread work, embroidery, and Nishijin-ori.Because the raw materials are high-end, this product was made possible specifically because it is a remake of USED (pre-owned) items.
**About the Sewing**Sewing is performed in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, the largest bag production area in Japan. The bags are produced by skilled craftsmen at a company that sells materials necessary for bags and has its own factory for YKK zippers.Instructions for pattern placement, orientation, and the front/back of the obijime used for handles are given in Tokyo. Subsequently, a mold is created at a factory that produces metal molds from the sewing factory, and the fabric is cut and sewn using that mold.Kimono and obi fabrics differ individually in embroidery and weave; they also vary in thickness and texture. Therefore, the process is very time-consuming, and it is said to be difficult to sew even for skilled craftsmen. In Toyooka, "Yanagi-kori" (willow luggage) was passed down from the "basket" techniques made of willow work mentioned in the "Kojiki" (Records of Ancient Matters). These bags are produced under strict quality control nurtured by a thousand-year tradition that began there.
**Precautions for Purchase*** **Regarding the Fabric:** The kimono, obi, and obijime used are items that were previously used or kept in stock. Therefore, there may be fold creases, small stains, dirt, scratches, or degradation. While we take care to exclude these during use, some may rarely remain. We ask for your understanding that these are recycled and upcycled items from the past and are not new.* **Regarding Color:** While we take the utmost care to ensure no discrepancies in the listing, the colors may differ slightly between the photos and the actual product depending on the monitor of your computer or mobile phone. Please understand this in advance.* **Regarding Size:** Although fabrics are cut uniformly using molds and sewn by skilled craftsmen, kimono, obi, and obijime each have different thicknesses. Obi with a lot of embroidery or thickness may result in a slightly smaller size, and slight size discrepancies may occur. We ask for your understanding.* **Regarding Handling:** The kimono, obi, and obijime used are believed to be silk, but since this is unconfirmed due to being USED (the Consumer Affairs Agency states there is no obligation to include this on the product label), please wash with silk detergent at your own risk or consult a dry cleaner specializing in kimono.* Please be careful of color fading or color transfer due to rain, water, sweat, or friction.* Please note that prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause discoloration or hardening.* Avoid high temperature and humidity; store in a well-ventilated dark place without close contact with other items.* Be careful of snagging or friction caused by nails or sharp objects.* Please note that the magnet in the clasp may adversely affect medical devices such as watches, IC cards, and pacemakers.* **After Purchase:** Except in cases where the product is defective, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges. In principle, returns or exchanges due to defects are limited to unused items within 7 days of arrival.* *Please consult us via the inquiry form in the following cases:** Differences in image, such as size or color, due to customer preference.* If 7 days have passed since the product arrived, or if the product has been damaged or soiled by the customer.
