The outer back fabric uses the same obi fabric as the exterior. The interior fabric is white, made of cotton, making items easy to access. It features a small magnetic button for closure.
Additionally, there are rings attached at both ends inside, allowing the attachment of an optional shoulder strap (sold separately; original straps are also available).

【About the Fabric】
The fabric is made from vibrant kimono and obi used on celebratory days in the Showa era. Some materials and weaves are rare and have already ceased production.
The patterns include auspicious floral motifs, birds, gold thread embroidery, and Nishijin weaving, collected from all over Japan.
Because of the high-quality raw materials, this remade and upcycled product is only possible through secondhand items.

【About the Sewing】
Manufactured in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan’s largest bag production area.
Produced by skilled bag artisans at companies that sell necessary bag materials and have their own factory for YKK zippers.
Pattern placement, orientation, and the front-back direction of the obi cords are decided in Tokyo.
Subsequently, molds are created at a factory that produces molds, which are then used to cut the fabric and sew the bag.
Kimono and obi fabrics vary in embroidery, weaving, thickness, and texture, making sewing challenging even for experienced artisans.
In Toyooka, the tradition of woven bamboo baskets, originating from the willow craft mentioned in the "Kojiki," has been passed down for over a thousand years.
Under strict quality control cultivated through this long-standing tradition, the bags are produced.

Fabric:
The kimono, obi, and obi cords used are previously worn or stored items.
Therefore, there may be creases, small stains, dirt, scratches, or deterioration.
While efforts are made to remove these, some may remain.
Please understand that these items are recycled and upcycled, originating from older or secondhand sources.

Size:
Cut uniformly with molds and sewn by skilled artisans.
However, since each kimono and obi varies in thickness and embroidery, some items—especially thicker obi—may have slight size discrepancies, such as being a bit smaller.
