It is best to choose a size that matches the size of your Buddhist altar.
Generally, 4.0 sun (for small Buddhist altars) to 4.5 sun (for medium-sized Buddhist altars) are commonly chosen. Sizes 5.0 sun and above are suitable for large Buddhist altars.
Please measure carefully to ensure the chosen memorial tablet can be placed in the space for the memorial tablet (usually on the second tier of the Buddhist altar, left or right) before making your selection.
[About Memorial Tablet Dimensions]
Memorial tablet sizes are generally indicated in "sun," such as 4 sun or 4.5 sun. 1 sun is approximately 3.03 cm.
For example, a 4 sun memorial tablet would have a "tablet height" of around 4 (sun) x 3.03 (cm) = 12.12 (cm).
Please note that this measurement usually refers to the "tablet height" and not the "total height (from top to bottom)."
[Other Precautions]
When actually placing the memorial tablet in the Buddhist altar, the "total height" is important.
If you are concerned about the size, it is best to confirm how tall a memorial tablet can be placed in the actual location where it will be enshrined.
Also, if you currently have other memorial tablets enshrined, it is common to use those sizes as a reference.
