In response to requests such as fruit and vegetables spoiling in the summer heat, and the desire for items that can be used every year, we have prepared products made of chirimen.
Chirimen is a traditional Japanese woven fabric. Unlike regular cloth, it uses twisted (braided) threads to intentionally shrink the fabric, creating a surface with a textured, uneven surface.
It has a good texture and a gentle feel, and is widely used as fabric for traditional Japanese clothing.

Chirimen has a luxurious and calm atmosphere, and is often used not only for kimono fabric but also for miscellaneous goods such as furoshiki, kinchaku, goshuincho covers, and Japanese accessories, as well as for Buddhist altar items like juzu bags and fukusa.

Products are packaged in a paper box. They are available not only for personal use but also for gift-giving purposes.

In collaboration with Yumemiya, which handles interior accessories and miscellaneous goods made of chirimen, we developed our original chirimen offering set.
Yumemiya’s products are all handmade from design to manufacturing, carefully crafted by Kyoto artisans one by one.

[About Obon]
Obon is a festival to welcome the spirits of ancestors and close family members who have passed away. It begins with the "Mukaebi" (welcoming fire) and ends with the "Okuribi" (sending fire).
In households, traditional lanterns are arranged as Mukaebi and Okuribi to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is the time once a year when ancestors return, do your best to offer hospitality within your means.
