Umi no Sei Yaki Shio is a nostalgic traditional domestically produced (Izu Oshima) sea salt from Japan.
While it is very difficult to produce fully refined焼塩 (roasted salt) from traditional sea salt containing nigari (bittern), we have recreated the ancient manufacturing method passed down at Ise Jingu and Goshoden Shrine to produce an authentic roasted salt rich in minerals unique to "Umi no Sei."
It contains well-balanced minerals from seawater, resulting in a rich yet mild flavor.
It is ideal as a seasoning salt for table use.

Raw materials and manufacturing locations are both within Japan. However, this excludes cases where ingredients such as spices that cannot be grown in Japan or ingredients like sesame with extremely limited production volume are used out of necessity.

Agricultural products are used without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and are non-GMO, seasonal, and open-field grown. Marine products are sourced from local natural waters. Livestock products are generally not used. No chemical additives or preservatives are used at all.
