【How to enjoy delicious sencha (for 3 servings)】
(Items needed)
- Kyusu (teapot)
- Yunomi (teacup)
- 180cc hot water
- Measuring spoon
(Amount of tea leaves)

(Water temperature)
70–80°C (158–176°F)
1. Pour boiling water into the yunomi to warm it, then let it cool to 70–80°C.
*Note: Use the water at the appropriate temperature to warm the yunomi.*
2. Put the tea leaves into the kyusu, then pour the cooled water from the yunomi into the kyusu.
3. Wait for 45–60 seconds.
*Note: It is important not to touch the kyusu during this time.*
4. To ensure an even flavor, pour into the yunomi in the following order: 1 → 2 → 3 → 3 → 2 → 1.
Do not shake the kyusu, and pour until the last drop.
5. For the second and subsequent infusions, slightly increase the water temperature and brew for about 30 seconds.
☆ In cold weather, use hotter water; in hot weather, use colder water.
You can also vary the flavor from light to rich depending on how you brew it, even with the same tea leaves.
