When you eat delicious food with someone you love, anyone will smile――― This is a cheerful 50-year story depicting the journey of four lively Okinawan siblings, who support each other while being hurt and encouraging one another, as they climb the stairs to adulthood. The story is set against the backdrop of Okinawa's reversion to Japan.

★ The heroine is Yuna Kuroshima, originally from Okinawa. Inspired by her family bonds, she finds her own way of life through her hometown's "food" and eventually opens an Okinawan cuisine restaurant. She plays the role of the second daughter among four siblings with distinct personalities.

★ An original story written by Daisuke Hahara, who was involved in the serial TV drama "Massan," commemorating Okinawa's 50 years of reversion.

★ Ryusei Ryo, Haruna Kawaguchi, and Moeka Kamishiraishi portray a heartfelt sibling trio. Additionally, powerful young actors such as Hio Miyazawa, Yuki Yamada, and Koki Maeda appear! In the 1960s, in a village in the lush northern Yanbaru region of Okinawa Main Island, still under American military rule, the Higa family, who run a farm, lived. The father and mother worked hard to support the household, and their four children—eldest son, eldest daughter, second daughter, and third daughter—each had unique personalities and grew up happily despite occasional quarrels. The heroine's second daughter, Nobuko Higa (Yuna Kuroshima), loves eating delicious food. For young Nobuko, "playing" means "picking and eating something" in the fields, mountains, or sea. One day, during a meal at a town restaurant, Nobuko is captivated by Western cuisine for the first time in her life. Soon, a difficult fate befalls the family: the gentle father suddenly passes away, and the remaining mother works alone, raising four children amid financial hardship.

As time passes, Nobuko graduates from high school and dreams of "going to Tokyo" to become a Western cuisine chef. Coinciding with 1972, the year Okinawa reverts to Japan, Nobuko, supported by her family, moves to Tokyo and begins training in the kitchen of a famous restaurant she has longed for.
