[Introduction]"Little Witch Academia" was released in March 2013 as a participating work in the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "Anime Mirai 2013" young animator training project.This original short animation, produced by TRIGGER and directed by Yoh Yoshinari, cast a spell not only on Japan but also on the world.Fans who saw the work uploaded on YouTube called for a sequel, and when a call for participation was made on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter, the target amount of $150,000 was achieved in just 6 hours.In one month, a total of $625,518 (approximately 74 million yen), four times the target amount, was raised, and the production of a new work was decided.The sequel, "Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade," completed in this way, had its world premiere ahead of its Japanese release at Anime Expo 2015, North America's largest anime convention, in July 2015.The 4,000 attendees who filled the venue erupted in the first-ever standing ovation in the event's history.And now, the long-awaited new series has been decided for production.Please look forward to the newly spun world of "Little Witch Academia"!
