This highly anticipated serious drama, which incorporates shocking real-life incidents in Korea such as a college entrance exam cheating scandal and a staged traffic accident, achieved a remarkable 54.6% viewership rating in Korea. Jayoung (Choi Ji-woo), whose father is a hired driver for a member of the National Assembly, lives quietly with her family in the basement of the politician's mansion. Shin-ae (Park Sun-young), the politician's daughter who is the same age as Jayoung, pressures Jayoung to let her cheat on school tests due to Jayoung's excellent grades. This escalates, and Shin-ae forces Jayoung to impersonate her and take the university entrance exam as a proxy. A dejected Jayoung meets Hyung-woo (Ryu Si-won), the son of a wealthy family, and they fall in love, overcoming their various differences. However, Hyung-woo has long been the object of Shin-ae's unrequited love. Shin-ae resorts to all sorts of measures to tear Jayoung and Hyung-woo apart. Perhaps due to the solid performances of the cast, including Choi Ji-woo, this drama stands apart from typical melodramas with its robust execution. The strong love between the heroine Jayoung and the wealthy heir Hyung-woo is moving, but the drama also delves into the hidden complexities and complexes of the villain Shin-ae, who is depicted in parallel, giving it a depth that is not simply idealistic.
