Sakuya Izayoi specializes in close-range knife attacks. In addition to the ability to freely move in the air for a certain period called "Flying," she can now fight while avoiding enemy attacks with the new action "Backstep" introduced in this work. Special attacks such as "Soul Sculpture," "Flying Kick," and "Backstep Knife" have been added, allowing for even more stylish gameplay.
In this work, before selecting a stage, you can equip up to three sub-weapons/partners. Sub-weapons include familiar items for Sakuya Izayoi such as "Knife Throwing" and the "Pocket Watch" that stops time. Partners are summoned characters from the Touhou series that attack enemies using their unique skills. Timing the use of sub-weapons and partner summons strategically will give you an advantage in battle.

"Vampire Castle Remilia II: Yōgen no Requiem" is a sequel to the side-scrolling action game "Vampire Castle Remilia Crimson Symphony," which features popular characters from the "Touhou Project" worldwide.
Like the previous work, it is a "Touhou Gothic Horror Action" game characterized by its engaging action gameplay, unique elements of danmaku and floating, and character designs that are dark and boldly arranged while maintaining the charm of the original, created by the popular illustrator Akira Banpai.
This work also supports full voice acting by a talented cast, and the game volume has increased.
Furthermore, it boasts even more beautiful graphics, luxurious sound, and improved operability, making it a power-up from the previous version.
This time, the story depicts Sakuya Izayoi as the protagonist, heading to the "Yōgen Crimson Castle" to search for the suddenly disappeared Remilia and others, and to find the whereabouts of the missing "Crimson Castle."
