The Sakisaka family has four siblings: the eldest daughter, Seriko, who works in foreign finance; the second daughter, Hinariko, a drama producer; the third daughter, Jitsuko, a current University of Tokyo student engrossed in research; and the youngest son, Ichiri, who failed to get into the University of Tokyo and attends a private university. The top three are all "University of Tokyo women" who advanced to the University of Tokyo.

Their mother, who suddenly returned from Malaysia for end-of-life preparations, is introduced to Seriko's boyfriend, Kishiri, by Hinariko, who declares, "This might be our last chance." Seriko is surprised and indignant, but suppresses her anger and respects Kishiri's feelings...
After seeing off their mother with complex emotions, the four siblings resume their peaceful lives. Meanwhile, Kishiri, sensing Seriko's longing for her father, has actually been entrusted with her father's contact information by her mother...!?
