Tak Matsumoto formed and conceived the solo project “TMG” over many years, and the full album was finally completed in 2004. Following the first single “OH JAPAN ~OUR TIME IS NOW~” (released March 31, 2004, theme song for TV ASAHI NETWORK SPORTS 2004), with vocals by former Mr. BIG’s “Eric Martin,” bass and vocals by “Jack Blades” of Night Ranger, and drums by “Zakk Wylde” (Ozzy Osbourne), who formed PRIDE & GLORY and played in Slash’s Snakepit (Guns N’ Roses), the album also features “Bryan Tissy,” a renowned guitarist who has played in bands with notable artists, and “Cindy Blackman,” a female drummer known for supporting Lenny Kravitz’s works and live performances, with a sophisticated style and wide-ranging techniques including jazz, rock, and funk, participating in the recording.
All 14 collaboration tracks by members who have mastered both Japanese and American ROCK include delicate and innovative numbers with a “Japanese” atmosphere, exciting up-tempo tunes, and catchy rock numbers that have achieved high popularity. This album allows you to reaffirm Tak Matsumoto’s魅力 as a guitarist and melody maker. Additionally, from July 30, 2004, a nationwide live tour “Dodge The Bullet” was held with 17 performances at 8 locations including Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Niigata, and an additional performance at Zepp Tokyo on August 10, culminating in a performance at Budokan on September 7, with tour members Tak Matsumoto, Eric Martin, Jack Blades, and newly added drummer “Chris Frazier.”
