タイヤのビードを外す作業の際に、ビードとリムとの距離を保持し、リムとビードを保護しつつ、取り外し作業を補助する工具です。
リムのクランプはバネ式なのでねじ式に比べて素早くクランプできます。
その反面、タイヤやホイールによってはクランプ力が不足するケースもあるため、ねじ式とお使い分けください。

塗装がデリケートであるなど、ビードヘルパーを取り付けるリム部分へのダメージを防ぎたい場合は、滑りにくい丈夫な布やゴムのようなものを当ててください。
