This work captures the confidence and inner world that beabadoobee has built, and was created with the themes of self-acceptance and self-growth. The lead single from the album, "Take A Bite," is a lyrical track that evokes influences from 2000s alternative music, and within its approximately two and a half minutes, it encapsulates the current state of beabadoobee's further leap as a singer-songwriter. In 2018, beabadoobee signed with London label Dirty Hit, home to The 1975 and Rina Sawayama, released two EPs, and won the NME Award for "Best New Artist." She was also nominated for the BBC's renowned "Sound of 2020" feature. In 2020, she released her debut album "Fake It Flowers," which debuted at number 8 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2022, she released her second album "Beatopia." She made her first appearance in Japan at Summer Sonic in 2022 and toured the US as an opening act for Taylor Swift in 2023.
