**Synopsis**
Taira, a quiet, friendless "loner" at the bottom of the class, falls instantly in love with Kiyoi, the overwhelmingly beautiful and cold "King" who reigns at the top of the class.

After graduating high school and through various twists and turns, Taira and Kiyoi become a couple and live happily in Taira’s home.
As university graduation approaches, Taira begins working as an assistant to the renowned photographer Noguchi. Witnessing professional work firsthand, and wanting not to interfere with Kiyoi’s expanding acting career, Taira gradually distances himself from Kiyoi.
