The group's target was the Kurta's [Scarlet Eyes]. These eyes turn scarlet when excited and are considered one of the seven greatest beauties in the world.
Kurapika was on a journey to retrieve his clan's stolen [Scarlet Eyes], but someone stole Kurapika's own [Scarlet Eyes]!!
With the help of Gon, Killua, and Leorio, Kurapika's life is saved, but the Phantom Troupe stands in the way of the four of them!!

Born December 7, 1971, in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. Moved to the United States after graduating high school. Enrolled in the composition department at the Eastman School of Music, studying under C. Ruggles and J. Schwantner.
Won the NMYE Composers Competition (New York) with "String Quartet" composed upon enrollment. Although described as "Bartokian" in a New York music magazine, he was actually immersed in the music of "Avant-garde ~ Avant-garde Children" such as G. Ligeti, G. Crumb, Isang Yun, Tōru Takemitsu, A. Schnittke, B. Ferneyhough, and Tan Dun.
Moved his base of operations to Tokyo in 1997. In the same year, his "Myrtle N for 13 stringed koto and violin" won an honorable mention in the Nagoya City Cultural Promotion Award.
Debuted as a composer for film and television in 2001 with "Bakusou Shoot Beyblade". Member of the Japan Society for Contemporary Music.
