"What a Wonderful World" has been streamed over 1.4 billion times worldwide, more than 50 years after its release, and was recently certified 5x platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). In July 2024, his final live album released during his lifetime, "What a Wonderful World ~ Louis in London Live at the BBC (UCCV-1200)," was released to worldwide acclaim.
This new release features many of Louis Armstrong's biggest hits such as "Kiss to Build a Dream On," "La Vie en Rose," "Hello, Dolly!," and "What a Wonderful World," as well as timeless duet songs with Ella Fitzgerald like "Cheek to Cheek" and "Dream a Little Dream of Me."
The booklet includes liner notes by Ricky Riccardi, who has published many of Louis Armstrong's works and serves as the Director of Research Collections at the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Riccardi states:
