Furthermore, the fact that it is an unpublished manuscript drawn for a remake makes it an extremely valuable and important document in manga history. This book is the definitive edition, reprinting the Sandama Shobo version (1952) of "Mahou Yashiki" as the base text and including all 40 pages of the unpublished manuscript at the end. Through this book, Tezuka's own brushstrokes and skillful composition at the time of writing, which were previously only known through engraved plates (*), are revealed.
