David Gilmour:"The beginnings of 'The Endless River' trace back to songs born from the sessions for 'The Division Bell' released in 1994. We listened to over 20 hours of us playing together as a trio, and selected songs to work on for the new album. Over the past year, we added new parts and re-recorded, utilizing studio technology to create a 21st-century Pink Floyd album. Now that Rick has passed away and we can no longer have sessions together, it feels right to make it part of our repertoire."
Nick Mason:"'The Endless River' is a tribute to Rick. I think this album is a good way to acknowledge what he did at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound and much of his playing. Listening back to the sessions, I was deeply struck by how special a player he was."
