【Story】
In 1694, in Wiltshire, southern England, the young and ambitious painter Neville receives a strange request at a noble party.
While Lord Herbert is away on a business trip, he is asked to complete 12 landscape paintings of the mansion within 12 days.
Neville, confident and arrogant, imposes conditions on the client, Lady Herbert:
- He will decide where to paint himself.
- During the work, he will have secret meetings with Lady Herbert.
Immediately, Neville arrives at the estate with a drawing board and a servant, and efficiently completes detailed realistic paintings.
During the process, he also has affairs with Lady Herbert and her daughter, Lady Tarman.
While sensing something strange about the subtle changes in the landscape, Neville continues to faithfully reproduce what is before him.
On the day he finishes all the paintings, as many predicted, Lord Herbert’s body is discovered.
