The talk of the town, Boogie Woogie. What is Boogie Woogie? This is it! A compilation for you!
An edited album that explores the roots of the songs that brightly illuminated Japan in the immediate post-war period!
Boogie Woogie is a genre of blues music that gained popularity among African Americans in the late 1920s.
A boom occurred in the late 1930s, and its popularity continued until the early 1950s, greatly contributing to the development of Jump Blues and having a significant impact on Rhythm & Blues and Rock and Roll.
This compilation focuses mainly on pre-war works, from before the birth of "that song," with the aim of casually enjoying "What is Boogie Woogie?" without being too serious.
With a selection by Hitoshi Koide, who is also known as the "Pre-War Research Institute," a laid-back Boogie Woogie quest compilation is born!
Starting with Pine Top Smith's 1929 hit song "Pine Top's Boogie Woogie," the first to use the term "Boogie Woogie," it's simply groovy!!
