Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," which garnered significant global acclaim, this year marks the 50th anniversary edition of "The Beatles (White Album)," originally released on November 22, 1968. This special edition is available as a limited-time, low-price 3CD Deluxe Edition.
The album, which packed the boundless creativity of each member onto two LPs, is a work whose sophisticated melodies, diverse musicality, and dynamic rock performances have seen a particular rise in appreciation and popularity in recent years.
Discs 1 and 2 feature the original album, newly remixed in stereo for 2018 by Giles Martin and mixing engineer Sam Okell from the original analog multi-track tapes.
Disc 3 contains the "Esher Demos," acoustic sessions recorded in May 1968 at George Harrison's home before the album's production began. While some of these tracks appeared on "Anthology 3" in 1996, this edition presents a comprehensive collection of 27 songs.
In addition to the album's main tracklist, the demos include rare performances such as "Child of Nature," the original version of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" (later released on the album "Imagine"), George Harrison's "Circles" (later released on the album "Gone Troppo"), and "Sour Milk Sea," which was given to Jackie Lomax. The sound, meticulously refined from the original 4-track tapes, is distinctly superior to bootlegs.
