For Beatles collectors, the unforgettable 1970s vintage analog masterpiece "Sweet Apple Trax" is now available in a newly remastered, expanded edition featuring the first-ever real stereo sound sources! During the 1970s, at a time when information was scarce, "Sweet Apple Trax" gained attention by including previously unreleased recordings from the Get Back sessions.
In Volume 3, the album features the first-ever release of recordings from the Get Back sessions in the 1980s, based on the original analog "SWEET APPLE TRAX VOL. III (SWEET SOUND)," which previously caused a buzz. This edition faithfully reproduces the original album content, but also upgrades the sound sources from mono to fully separated stereo, achieving the first true stereo version. The upgrade quality is striking when compared side by side, with a clear difference.
Additionally, the restoration includes corrections of incomplete or unnatural cuts, noise reduction, and extended versions of tracks that were not included in the analog era, such as the context before and after certain songs. The content covers sessions from the first day through the following day, revealing the roots of The Beatles with a variety of interesting recordings, including rock and roll covers like "All Shuck Up," "Crackin' Up," "Hippy Hippy Shake," "Midnight Special," and rare covers of Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released," "Blowin' in the Wind," "Watchtower," as well as Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart."
The sessions also feature John Lennon’s later solo works "Jerk of the Guy" and "Gimme Some Truth," along with playful outtakes like "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," "I'm So Tired," "Every Little Thing," and other Beatles numbers. The best editing captures the lively session atmosphere.
Details such as the recording roll numbers and dates, which were unknown at the time, are now included. The inner jacket reproduces various classic analog album covers, evoking nostalgia for collectors. The original sources include rare, highly sought-after analog records like "Vegemite" and "Dream Is Over," which are also featured.
Selected from the Get Back sessions held throughout January 1969, this edition is a must-have. It is the third installment in the series delivering a newly edited, latest remastered version of the once-famous "Sweet Apple Trax."
