The "Rooftop Concert" was an impromptu performance held on January 30, 1969, on the rooftop of Apple Corps headquarters in central London during the Beatles' Get Back sessions. While a portion of this concert was edited and released in the film *LET IT BE*, this new collection from the DAP label fully recreates the concert as an unedited, complete version, utilizing all recorded camera audio and multitrack masters. This definitive edition features all songs in true stereo with the highest sound quality ever achieved through the latest remastering, and also includes all recorded camera audio individually.
CD1 contains the longest complete version ever, combining all existing masters, and the film version. It reproduces rehearsal scenes and between-song dialogue not used in the film, and includes all songs in true stereo, even those without multitrack recordings. The latter half also includes Ron Furmanek's mix, the first stereo remaster of the original mono audio from the film version, created in '92. You can compare the differences between each audio source.
CD2 and CD3 contain the complete recorded audio from all six camera rolls. This includes A-Roll, the main rooftop recording, B-Roll, which includes audio from the ground and street interviews, and supplementary audio sources, all organized by six camera roll units. The camera roll audio, previously in mono, has all been converted to true stereo for the first time, representing a significant upgrade from previous releases. This is truly the definitive complete recording of the "Rooftop Concert," covering all existing related audio sources!
