Featuring performances by renowned actors Ken Takakura, Chieko Baisho, Tetsuya Takeda, and Kaori Momoi, it is an ageless, eternal love story that touches the heart. In 2008, it was remade in America as "The Yellow Handkerchief," a worldwide hit. At the time of release, there was no soundtrack album, and in the 1990s, main songs were included in compilation albums of film music by Masaru Sato and Yoji Yamada, but some of these CDs are now difficult to obtain. This time, for the first time, all of Masaru Sato's film music used in the movies is included in order of use in the films! The reissue of the album, titled "That Time Movies the BEST Shochiku Blu-ray Collection," is now available, allowing enjoyment alongside the visuals, and will be released as a Christmas gift for those who love this film on Christmas Eve, December 24!
