Tommy Bolin, who was active as a professional guitarist from his teens, played in several bands and gained sudden fame by participating in Billy Cobham's masterpiece "Spectrum". Hearing of his reputation, Deep Purple, who was looking for a successor to Ritchie Blackmore at the time, approached Tommy to join. He was ultimately selected as the second guitarist. In the first work after Tommy joined, "Come Taste The Band," released in 1975, he was given a major role as the main composer. Meanwhile, almost simultaneously with Deep Purple's recording, Tommy was recording his debut solo album. That is this work, "Teaser." ● The recording members of this work include Jeff Porcaro, David Foster, Paul Stollwarth, David Sanborn, Glenn Hughes, Phil Collins, Narada Michael Walden, Stanley Sheldon, Jan Hammer, and others—renowned figures in the modern rock scene who participated in his youth. ● The tracks on this album showcase his wide-ranging musicality, including funk, jazz, rock, fusion, reggae, and more, demonstrating how his talent was already attracting attention at that time. Except for the instrumental tracks, Tommy also handled vocals on all songs.
