This is a natsume tea caddy made of hon-kuwa (genuine mulberry wood) used in the Wakindate tea ceremony procedure.
The fine and beautiful grain, characteristic of high-quality mulberry wood, is elegantly connected from the lid to the body.
The rim (joint part) and the interior are decorated with beautiful gold leaf, creating a stately and highly refined appearance where the rustic texture of the mulberry wood harmonizes with the splendor of the gold leaf.
This item can be used with confidence not only for practice but also for formal tea gatherings.
The original paper box with a label bearing the product name (Hon-kuwa Wakindate) is included.
