Kurohime Wakan Yakukenkyusho Enmei-cha is a flavorful health tea made from five types of traditionally used wild herbs: Habu-cha (Cassia obtusifolia), Hatomugi (Job's tears), Kuko-ha (Goji leaf), Kumazasa (Dwarf bamboo), and Enmei-so (Isodon japonicus).

It is caffeine-free, so the whole family, from babies to the elderly, can enjoy drinking it. It can be brewed by boiling or by steeping in cold water.

Each tea bag is individually packaged with two bags, making it convenient for carrying. Unbleached tea bags are used.

The founder, Makoto Kano, settled as a pioneer farmer at the foot of Mt. Kurohime in Shinshu after the war.

Witnessing pioneers dying from starvation and illness due to lack of food and doctors, he made tea from Kumazasa and Enmei-so collected in the mountains. The people rejoiced, saying, "This is a wonderfully delicious tea that is good for the body!" He continued to research how to make even more delicious and healthy teas.

The health tea that was eventually completed was named "Enmei-cha," inspired by the fact that people affectionately called it "Unmei-cha" and the existence of "Enmei Jizo" (a deity believed to prolong life) that was always in the founder's heart, symbolizing saving all people.

◆ How to Enjoy

For a teapot or personal bottle: Place one tea bag in a teapot, pour about 200ml of hot water, let it steep for 2-3 minutes, and drink until the flavor is gone. For a personal bottle, use about 500ml of hot water per tea bag.

For boiling: When brewing in a pot, add 2 tea bags per 1 liter of water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Adjust the simmering time according to your desired strength. *After boiling, drink the tea within the same day, unless stored in the refrigerator.

For a pot: It is convenient to make a larger batch by placing 2-3 tea bags in a pot (1L-2L) and pouring hot water.

For cold brewing: Pour 500ml of water over one tea bag, let it steep in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, then remove the tea bag and drink. Adjust the strength of the cold brew to your liking. *Store in the refrigerator and drink as soon as possible.
