『茶話指月集』は利休の孫千宗旦から聞いた利休に関する茶話を、高弟藤村庸軒が書き綴り、久須見疎安が編集して、江戸中期の元禄十四年に刊行した板本。『江岑夏書』は同じく宗旦から聞いた茶話を、三男の江岑宗左が嗣子に伝えるために記した筆録。いずれも、宗旦が実際に見聞きした利休の言動が、臨場感をもって書き綴られている。
