We have decided to produce the wartime model jeans, which had been requested many times.When we made 50's Jeans in 2012, we wondered who would buy jeans made by the unknown TCB, but now we are grateful to receive such requests.At that time, I felt a strong attraction to vintage models like the 55's and 66's, which felt complete.However, as we reproduced various models, including those from L Company, I became more drawn to the charm and historical background embedded in the imperfections of the Simplified (minimalist) models than I was back then.Due to this change in perspective, we are finally releasing this model.The fabric is a new 14 oz material made specifically for S40's, produced under the TCB WW2 designation.

The fabric for the wartime model is made from unraveling old clothes and analyzing the fibers at the thread level, resulting in a 14 oz fabric.It is woven with a blend of three types of American cotton—Eastern Memphis, New Orleans, and Texas—using machine settings that produce a naturally uneven texture.To replicate the firmness felt when Inoue touched the wartime fabric, it is spun with high-twist nepp yarns and cotton leaf debris.While modern cotton has been improved through breeding to increase whiteness, the fabric uses a blend that reproduces the creamy, muted tones of the original.It is an original TCB fabric in deep indigo with pink selvage, free from sulfurization or other additives.

Although it is a rougher, more primitive version of the XX-style pocket, the irregularity now appears charming and attractive, especially as we have produced various models.The pattern of the left and right pockets has been altered.

The hidden rivet is designed to be discreet, but sewing it perfectly is challenging.Therefore, the stitching shows an intention to hide the rivet as much as possible, even if it makes the pocket opening slightly narrower.The upper left part still has the excess fabric from the pocket edge.
The top button is a laurel wreath button, same as the jacket.The fly button varies by individual but is a donut-shaped iron S-shaped wire button, a one-piece molded button.
Although it is a wartime model, compared to the 501, the belt loops are wider, and the stitch width is narrower, showing irregularities.The belt loops are positioned higher, resulting in distinctive fading patterns.Normally, there is no gap at the top of the waist, but a slight gap is present here.

The selvage is made from olive-colored herringbone twill fabric.The specifications of the wartime model fabric changed over the years due to resource controls.At that time, L Company supplied jeans to the military, and the selvage fabric used was apparently olive green herringbone twill.Details have been carefully reproduced.
The edge (mimi) features pink selvage color.It is an original TCB fabric, recreated by analyzing vintage threads at the fiber level.It will develop a vintage-like patina with wear over time.
The leather patch is made of deer leather.It bears the "Country CAT" label.It has a good vintage feel.
Compared to 20's Jeans and 50's Jeans, the silhouette has a deeper rise.It is recommended for those seeking jeans with a higher rise.
