We are a food company with a history of over half a century, dedicated to quality.

At the time of our founding in 1968, during Japan’s high economic growth period, many food additives such as chemically synthesized flavorings, colorings, and preservatives were being developed, and processed foods produced by industrial methods for mass production were rapidly increasing. Founder Takao Nakamura, having overcome his own health issues through dietary improvements, advocated that “what we eat and how we eat it are always connected to how we live. Improving our diet is equivalent to improving our way of life.” Recognizing the crisis in Japan’s changing food environment, he established Soken-sha with the desire to deliver foods that promote health.

Initially, we aimed to deliver traditional, additive-free foods to those who needed them, and gradually began selecting raw materials with careful attention to cultivation and breeding methods.

We use raw materials grown without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, or with low pesticide use and organic cultivation. In response to issues with caged chicken farming, we adopted free-range eggs.

Furthermore, from a health and environmental perspective, we have developed 100% plant-based products, pioneering these efforts early on in the market.

Throughout our over 50-year history, we have consistently pursued themes now recognized as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
