Kazuma Miura, a genius bandoneon player at the young age of 18, makes his long-awaited CD debut!
Since the Piazzolla boom, the bandoneon has become more prominent. While Ryota Komatsu is a pioneer among Japanese players, there are still few, and he is particularly attracting attention as the only young artist in this field.
Won runner-up and became the youngest recipient in history at the 33rd International Piazzolla Competition (October 18, 2008 - Castelfidardo, Italy), being the first Japanese entrant.

About the Artist

Born in Setagaya, Tokyo in 1990. Currently a third-year high school student. His parents are pianists, and he lived in Italy (Florence) for part of his childhood and elementary school years, attending local schools. He had a striking encounter with the bandoneon at the age of 10 and became a student of Ryota Komatsu. He has made guest appearances in numerous concerts and appeared on TV Asahi's "Untitled Concert 21" as a member of the Ryota Komatsu Unit. His performance with accordionist coba at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse was broadcast on NHK-FM. Recently, he has expanded his activities by giving lecture concerts about the bandoneon at the Argentina Fair, upon recommendation from the Argentine Embassy. He is also broadening his scope of activities, such as being in charge of the music for Sapporo's "YOSAKOI Soran Festival." On the other hand, his activities, including concerts at welfare facilities and schools, have been widely covered by newspapers such as Yomiuri and Mainichi, and he gained attention when featured in the "Hito" section of the Asahi Shimbun morning edition. In 2006, his encounter with Nestor Marconi, a world-renowned bandoneon player, at the Argerich Music Festival marked a major turning point for him. He then traveled to Argentina, funding his trip with sales of his self-produced CDs, and received direct instruction from Marconi, making his Argentine debut. His concert was also honored by RC OLIVOS in Buenos Aires. In March 2007, he held his professional debut recital produced by Kazuma Miura at Sumida Triphony Hall and Kuki Culture Hall, with tickets selling out before the concerts and achieving great success with standing-room-only crowds at both venues. In October 2007, he made his orchestral debut with the Japanese premiere of Marconi's Bandoneon Concerto, conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, at Inoue's "Noborizaka Concert." He was a domestic trainee for the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Art and Culture Promotion Program in fiscal year 2006. In fiscal year 2007, he received support for his performance activities from the Yamaha Music Foundation. In October 2008, he achieved runner-up at the International Piazzolla Competition (XXXIII PREMIO e CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE Citta di Castelfidardo CAT.M) held in Castelfidardo, Italy, becoming the first Japanese and the youngest recipient in history.
